This Victorian post box is on the west side of Tyrwhitt Road at the junction with Tressillian Crescent in Lewisham.

The box is not in the best condition especially its top and black base. It could do with a complete sandblast from top to bottom so that detail, such as the manufacturer's name that are hidden by many layers of paint, can be seen.

The post box is in a residential urban area on a (fairly) steep hill that leads from St John's up to Hilly Fields.
