EN: The large lion monument at the entrance to the lake port Enge is a landmark of the district.
The larger-than-life lion stands on a stone pedestal, holding the coat of arms of Zürich, but that is only seen from the lake side.
The sculpture was created in 1894 by Urs Eggenschwyler. It was completely restored in 2013.
DE: Das grosse Löwendenkmal an der Einfahrt zum Seehafen Enge ist ein Wahrzeichen des Quartiers.
Der Löwe überlebensgrosse Löwe steht auf einem Steinpodest und hält das Wappen von Zürich, das aber nur von der Seeseite her zu sehen ist.
Die Skulptur wurde 1894 von Urs Eggenschwyler geschaffen. Er wurde 2013 komplett restauriert.
