OLD SALEM COUNTY COURT HOUSE. Broadway and Market Streets.
Founded 1735; Rebuilt 1817; Rebuilt 1908. 2 ½ story brick; square with T addition in 1908; Flemish bond with some glazed headers; Hip roof with cedar shakes and cupola; box cornice and dentils; original door replaced by Palladian window with brick arch; 1908 addition has center gable and portico supported by Doric columns.

The Old Salem County Court House is now used by the City of Salem courts. It is the oldest continuous operating courthouse in New Jersey and the second oldest in the country. The building appears to be in very good condition.
The old courthouse is a contributing building in the Market Street Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places.
