Cpl. Joseph Fauver was born in Gloucester County New Jersey on June 18, 1752. During the Revolutionary War he served in Captain Cornelius Nieukirk's Second Regiment, Salem County Militia, his service was quite short. He was a carpenter by trade and he had five children.
