"Die kleine, im Ortsbild wichtige evgl. Kirche wurde 1825 erbaut. Es handelt sich um einen kleinen klassizistischen Saalbau mit polygonalem Chor und Dachreiter. Ihr Klassizismus ist von den benachbarten Niederlanden geprägt. In den spitzbogigen Fenstern tritt - sehr früh im Münsterland - schon die Neugotik auf. Die schlichte zeitgenössische
Ausstattung blieb erhalten.
Die Kirche ist das erste Beispiel der Neugotik im Kreis Borken."
