A plaque in the church porch reads:
"1945-1995
FOR YOUR TOMORROW
WE GAVE OUR TODAY

THE YEW TREES PLANTED IN THIS CHURCHYARD
ARE GIVEN BY PARITIONERS OF ST. GENNYS TO
HONOUR AND THANK THOSE WHO GAVE TO BRING
US SO FAR 50 YEARS OF PEACE.

THANKS BE TO GOD."
