This station is a National Geodetic Survey standard vertical control disk, located on U.S. Route 7, in the village of Gaylordsville, in New Milford, CT.
It is just north from the village center, off the east side of the roadway, set in a shelf of a large rock outcrop, directly beneath the crossover of some high tension wires:
DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1984 1.1 KM (0.7 MI) NW FROM GAYLORDSVILLE. 1.1 KM (0.7 MI) NORTHWEST ALONG U.S. HIGHWAY 7 FROM THE JUNCTION OF STATE HIGHWAY 55 IN GAYLORDSVILLE TO THE MARK ON THE RIGHT, IN EXPOSED ROCK OUTCROP, UNDER A HIGH VOLTAGE POWER LINE CROSSING THE HIGHWAY AT THIS POINT, AND NORTHEAST ACROSS THE HIGHWAY FROM UTILITY POLE 397, 10.73 METERS (35.2 FT) SOUTHEAST OF THE CENTERLINE OF THE HIGHWAY. THE MARK IS 1.00 METERS NE FROM A WITNESS POST. THE MARK IS 0.91 M ABOVE HIGHWAY.
