Jae Lee, who has owned or managed Japanese restaurants around Michigan for nearly two decades, opened this restaurant in July of 2014.
The upscale restaurant features a wide variety of sushi dishes, including seafood and vegetable rolls, as well a variety of cooked items such as steak and seafood.
Lee has managed Omi Sushi, a restaurant in East Lansing owned by his brother, for 10 years, and in 2011 opened Ju Sushi and Lounge on East Paris Avenue SE in Grand Rapids.
Jean Yoon, who worked on the wait staff at Omi Sushi, has come to Holland to serve as Mizu Sushi’s manager. A 2007 Michigan State University graduate who had a double major in chemistry and psychology.
Mizu Sushi can seat 71 people indoors, while another 22 people can be served in a patio area outdoors.
