The sigh depicts a leather belt in a circle, quartered by the village name horizontally and vertically. The quarters show images of a pig an acorn and an ear of wheat, A red cross, a depiction of water, and tomatoes and strawberries.
The livestock and crop images presumably represent the agricultural nature of the area, and the water that of the nearby reservoir. The red cross was awarded to the town after the First World War, as the town had been the site of a red cross auxiliary hospital during that period (
