This stone has a line on top, marking the original boundary line of Washington D.C., and The Commonwealth of Virginia. It is located about 50 feet south of the Mistress Margaret Brent memorial. It is no longer the official boundary, but serves an important role in showing visitors what state (or district) they were in.
