The visitor center is located inside the old court house. There are NPS rangers here that can answer any questions. A small museum is located on the second level, free of charge. You can buy and purchase tickets for any of the locations around the park. Restrooms are located on the lower level. A common misconception is that people believe this is the site where the Civil War ended, but it's not. It actually ended about 200 feet west of here in the nearby McLean House.
