"A CELTIC-STYLE cross made of Cornish granite has been erected as the centrepiece of Trevena Square in Tintagel."
"The 6ft cross was carved by Ernie Hillson, of St Tudy, in stone from Trenoweth Quarry near Penryn. The carving work and fixing the letters to the base took him four days.
Tintagel builder George Climo helped erect the cross, put it on a base, rebuilt the wall surrounding it and tidied up the cobblestones in the square, just off the main street."
