Humans aren’t the only species that get to decorate their lawns this holiday season. Take a stroll through Denver Zoo’s Zoo Lights and you’ll “ohhh” and “ahhh” over our 38 brilliantly-illuminated acres of lights and more than 150 animated animal sculptures. Some of the animal exhibits are also open as well as the lights. The zoo carousel and train are also available. There are booths to purchase glow lights, food and drink as well as the zoo souvenir store. This has the potential to become an expensive trip - if you want to buy many souvenirs. This is a family event with hundreds of strollers, children grandparents with harried parents trying to to not lose a child in the dark! Parking (free) is always a challenge. If you are able (childless or older kids), you may want to park legally in the local neighborhood to the east and walk in. Great fundraiser for a tremendous zoo.
