In Gettysburg, on top of the large Pennsylvania monument, are several metal disks with embossed arrows identifying geographic features visible from about the center of the battlefield.
The monument is a stone feature that is a prominent structure on the battlefield. It stands at the center of where Hancock Street, Humphreys Avenue, and Pleasanton Avenue intersect. The monument is also a lookout tower - there is a stairway in the northwest part of the structure. From there, there is a walkway around the monument. At several places, there are metal disks that have arrows embossed and names of geographic features.
Artist / Creator: W. Liance Cottrell - possibly.
 Date of creation: 9/27/1910
Location / Access: On top of the Pennsylvania State Monument at the Gettysburg National Battlefield.
