Built in 1890, this is only the second oldest hotel in Philipsburg, the oldest being nine years older than the Broadway. The building was known as the J.K. Merrill Building, after its original owner, J.K. Merrill.
After buying the building in the late 1980s, the owners began restoration in 2003, turning the old building into a nine room themed hotel. The hotel was sufficiently interesting that The Missoulian ran an article on the
Broadway Hotel on February 01, 2004.
