The Welcoming sculpture at the entrance to Binningup is in the shape of a fishing boat hull, there are 300 clay fish around it that were all hand-curved for their individual position on the hull. The fish have been glazed in colours changing from yellow to red and they glitter in the sun and can be seen some distance away. The hull sits atop a stainless steel base.
The $39,000 sculpture was Designed and made by a local artist Anthea Ward in 2007 .
Binningup is a small seaside village of about 1000 residents , but swells considerably during the holiday.
