Anniston Metropolitan Airport - Anniston, AL - Airports on Waymarking.com

I was very surprised what I found when I visited this location to create this waymark.

This is a small municipal airport. There was a terminal building and an tower. The tower looks unused. The terminal building has been taken over by a recreational vehicle dealer, no less.

The main transportation building has been moved to the northeast end of the field. The coordinates take you to the main building there. Several rows of hangers house the local small planes that fly out of this airport. It is interesting to see the old terminal shrink to nothing. There is an FAA Office near the old terminal that seems to be still active. There is also a large Honeywell plant to the SE.
