In Sharpsburg, in the center of the municipality, is Sharpsburg Town Hall, which has a glass case that has the names of residents who gave up their lives in WWI and WWII.

The town hall is on the south side of Main Street (Route 34). The brick building has a flagpole in front. The case is between the entrances to the town hall on the right and the library on the left and is next to the case with news from the government.

The case has a greenish background. On each black 'tag' is the rank and name of each person, with the years of birth and death near the top and bars in between, and finally, the military service.

The plaques are as follows:

"1886 - 1918
PVT William L. Crampton
US Army

1895 - 1918
SGT Martin E. Gardner
US Army

1917 - 1944

SGT Carroll E. Moss
US Army

1920 - 1944
PFC Charles R. Pierce
