A pair of 40-foot tall corkscrews mark the entrance to Dog and Oyster Vineyards in Irvington on Virginia's Northern Neck.

Dog and Oyster Vineyard, owned by the Hope & Glory Inn, wanted a larger sign to mark the entrance but were restricted on the size by town ordinances. Artwork and sculptures, however, were not restricted, so the owners installed a pair of 40-foot tall corkscrews created by a local artist. These are not recognized by Guinness because they do not function as actual corkscrews. There is now a town ordinance restricting the size of artwork and sculptures.
