Jan Nepomuk Neruda (9 July 1834 – 22 August 1891) was a Czech journalist, writer and poet, one of the most prominent representatives of Czech Realism and a member of "the May school". The commemorative plaque is placed on the house where he lived in his youth and where he began his literary work.
