Himmelreich Jakobusweg is the name of the section of the Way of St James in the Black Forest, from Hülfingen over Freiburg im Breisgau to Weil am Rhein. This marker is located at the place next to the church of Hinterzarten, that was itself a pilgrims destination in the Middle Ages.
The sign is attached to a post with hiking path destination signs and point to the northwest.
