Jungle Jim's International Market opened in 1975, it started turning into an attraction in 1988 when owner Jim Bonaminio (AKA Jungle) started buying stuff he liked or just got a good deal on like a Singing Animatronic Elvis Lion, The Big Cheese (a half-ton cheese kept in a towering refrigerator), an 80-foot-long sea serpent, a full sized monorail-(formerly at King's Island amusement park), an African watering hole with full-sized fiberglass elephants from a mini-golf place, a 6 foot animatronic ear of corn and stick of butter, and a life size Robin Hood in Sherwood Forest to name just a few of the things to see while at Jungle Jim's.
