The Hicksite Friends Meeting House was built in 1851. It replaced a previous wooden structure built around 1828 to accomodate the Hicksite Quakers after their split with the Orothodox Quakers.
The adjacent Quakers Cemetery contains the remains of many of these early Quakers, but in keeping with Quaker values of piety, were marked with headstones or markers. Rather, they were buried in unmarked rows as the passed on.
The Meeting House is as it was constructed in 1851, having never been renovated. There was some restoration conducted in late 2009.
The Meeting House and nearby cemetery can be reached by following US 62 north from the town of North Collins for approximately one mile.
