The Chalk Cliffs Fish Hatchery is a cold water facility that only raises catchable rainbow trout. The facility is open daily from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and admission is free. Donations are accepted. Pets are not allowed - neither on leash or carried in a bag. Volunteers provide information to visitors. You may not drive into the facility; free parking is nearby at N38° 44.739, W106° 07.663. The facility does not appear to easily be wheelchair accessible since there is a steep hill from the parking lot to the facility. I have scanned and uploaded the brochure from the facility as the last two photos of the gallery.
"Chalk Cliffs Hatchery annually raises about 700,000, ten-inch rainbow trout! Fish are raised in concrete raceways and seven dirt ponds. Waters are stocked along the Front Range, from Loveland to the New Mexico border, and east almost to the Kansas border.
