This National Capital Commission (NCC) survey monument is at the southwest end of the railroad bridge which once hosted the Canadian Pacific's Carleton Place subdivision. The horizontal marker is on top of the pier on the west side of the recreational trail (Rideau Trail, Trans Canad Trail).
