The mural is a great addition to the park especially for children. The children are riding in the front of the fire truck complete with their companion "Spot".

Fairley Park was made possible through the fund raising efforts and specially designed by the Merritt Fire Rescue Department for the smaller children.

There is a nice sized play ground complete with dinosaur for their enjoyment.

Also there is a dedicated bench honoring Monte McLean who passed away in 2003. He was a friend and fellow firefighter.
