Beautiful church and grounds. Land was donated in 1821 and was the first church built in the Louisiana civil parish of Lafayette. Grounds also feature a large and very old cemetery, plus the 500+ year old "Cathedral Oak" tree. There is also a gift shop/bookstore within the complex. Placed on the Nathional Register of Historic Places in 1979.
