About one mile west of the town of Carseland, this Pioneer elevator is on the north side of Highway 24.

This is another of the large concrete elevator/inland terminal facilities that have replaced all the older wooden elevators, now mostly gone. This one would have a capacity of somewhere between one and two million bushels, including the six large steel bins lined up to the east. Google map shots tell us that the two furthest east are almost brand new, as of 2014. The facility was built by Richardson Pioneer, originally Pioneer, a grain company more than 150 years.
