This large elevator is just north of the town of Beiseker on Highway 806.

Beiseker once had a long elevator row, all gone save one, a Wheat Pool elevator in the town. This one is a late comer, built on the other side of the tracks from the elevator row. Now operated by Canada Malting, it handles malting barley, a large amount of which is grown in this area. Steel clad, we must assume that it is a wood cribbed elevator. Old Cargill logos on the elevator indicate that this was the Cargill elevator built in 1978 and later sold to Canada Malting.
