Mike Scott made an entire song about the castle, although he does not seem to like it very much. In his song, he compares it to a "cork" and announces to "blow it down". So if the castle is missing one day, you know what happened ;-).
Please note that there is an entrance fee to the castle. However, in his song, Mike Scott does not enter the castle, but views it from different locations around the city, e.g. from Princes Street.
