This flea market is located on Petersplatz right next to the main building of the University.
It is held every Saturday, except when this day is a public holiday and a couple of weeks in October and November, when the place is used for Herbstmesse (Autumn Fair).
You can find all sorts of antique (or simply old) stuff. Clothes, books, furniture, household equipment, toys, watches. There are no new articles and no food.
The vendors are very mixed, there are professional sellers as well families that just want to get rid of some of their old stuff. Everybody can join, you just have to register some days before and pay a small standard fee.
A special feature is the children's flea market. Since 2012 the central area of the place is reserved for children. Children from 4 to 14 years can have their stands here, unattended by their parents (that's a prerequisite). They are assisted by a group of youth workers.
