I've traveled by Mac's Store my whole life and hadn't ever stopped to patronize the place until now. After speaking with the owner, she related that this store is for sale and has had very few owners since the store's beginnings, which she concluded go back about 100 years.
This store was formerly located next door where the owner's house is to the south in a wooden building. The current store was an auto repair shop. After a fire gutted the store (year unknown, but she thinks during the 1930s or 1940s) it was moved into this brick building and has been here since. The owner mentioned there were once old gas pumps located in front since it also acted as a gas station and have long since been removed. There is a weigh station here too and is still in occasional use.
