City Center Complex Plaza - Bethlehem, PA - Municipal Parks and Plazas on Waymarking.com

In Bethlehem's downtown area is the City Center Complex, which is where many of the city government's buildings are arranged around a concrete plaza.

The complex is located along W Church Street and is bounded by Church and New Streets. Parking is available along the roads - pay heed to signs and feed the meters.

The plaza is a mostly flat concrete area where major government are located. There is a sign by the road that identifies each building. The Public Safety Building is on the left (east). The City Hall and Town Hall are left and toward the rear (southeast). The library is located to the right (west). If you walk beyond the library and take a right, you enter a small tree garden with a fountain. If you walk to the south edge of the plaza, there is a view of the bridge over the Lehigh River and the south side of Bethlehem, with the hills by Lehigh University behind the city.

Also on the plaza are two statues. One is of children in a ring. Another is an abstract form several stories high. There is a sculpture that is a concrete abstract form that is a 9/11 memorial.

Off the plaza on the other side of the library is a Japanese garden.
