Schwarzenburg is the final stop of the line Bern-Schwarzenburg. The railway line opened in 1907 as the independent company Bern-Schwarzenburg-Bahn (BSB). In 1944 BSB merged with GTB and became GBS. After two more fusions the line and the station are today part of BLS AG.
Schwarzenburg-Bern is today the line S6 of the Bern commuter rail system. There is a train to Bern every 30 minutes. Several bus lines connect to the villages around Schwarzenburg.
The station building is in the style of traditional local farm buildings. It looks like being the original from 1907.
