Foster Memorial Church, United Church of Christ has recently installed a peace pole on its front lawn. Every Monday since August 11 church members, under the direction of Rev. Barbara Schenk, gather by the peace pole to wave to people passing by. The theme: "In prayer together for a peaceful city and world."
The four sided pole contains the message MAY PEACE PREVAIL ON EARTH in four languages: English, Spanish, Hebrew, and Tibetan
