The North Brookfield Soldiers' Monument has the 7' high granite figure of a Union soldier standing on an 8' high by 4' square granite base. The soldier is standing, wearing an overcoat and cap. He is holding his rifle vertically in front of him with both hands. The statue was created by Martin Milmore of Boston, MA and dedicated on January 19, 1870.
The front, north face, of the monument is inscribed in raised letters:
