Seward Hotel; Also known as Governor Hotel is located at 611 SW 10th Avenue, Portland. Architect: William C. Knighton. This carefully restored, historic downtown hotel has crackling fire with real logs in a grand stone fireplace, sweeping murals of Northwest's fabled past i.e., Lewis & Clark and the Indians they encountered while exploring the Pacific Northwest, grand staircase that gracefully beckons you to explore, and rooms with fireplaces, sweeping city views, and first class service. Back outside, can you spot the upside down keyholes? Architect William C. Knighton used them on all his buildings.Instructions for logging waymark: A photograph is required that shows you (or your GPS receiver, if you are waymarking solo) and the historic plaques.
