Within the State Park one may come in for overnight camping or day use only. There is a fish cleaning station in the day use area, and cold water showers and restrooms.
At certain times of the year there are sealions and harbor seals.
There can be jellyfish, grouper, and kelp.
Abalone can only be taken by free divers (no tanks) and must meet minimum size requirements (9 inches). Responsible divers milk the abalone before putting their catch into sea nets.
Going out from a rocky coast requires stamina. The vivid underwater colors are worth the effort. Sea kayaks are an option.
