"Argent, a Tree Gules issuant from Coupeaux Vert." (Flags of the World)
The flag of Schönenbuch was introduced in 1945. The beech tree is prevalent in the area, and the namesake of the town. The threefold hill is a symbol for the elevated plateau where Schönenbuch is located. The colors white and red were chosen, because they are the colors of Switzerland, and Schönenbuch is almost an exclave, 80 percent of the municipal borders are to France and there is only one road that does not cross a national border.
I found this flag in front of the town hall in the center of Schönenbuch.
