One of two main campgrounds at Sibley State Park (there are also a horse camp and group camp). This one, Oak Ridge, has less traffic and is suited to tent camping.
57 drive-in sites are available. 12 of the sites in this campground are first come, first served. Only one has a pull-through. At least one of the sites is designated as handicapped-accessible. None of the sites in this campground have electric hookup.
All sites have a picnic table and fire ring. Drinking water is conveniently located in several spots May through mid-October. During the regular season, a building with modern restrooms and showers is available for campers. There are also latrines in three locations.
The terrain is somewhat hilly, and portions are heavily wooded.
Site size and configuration varies. You could get a smaller RV in most. Some can accommodate two or even three tents.
The rate is $22 per night May through the third week of October. In the off-season, it is $16.
You will also need a state park vehicle permit. Good at any Minnesota state park, vehicle permits cost $5 per day or $25 for a year.
Check-in is at the park office.
