Charlie’s Beauty Salon was once a sidewalk tamale parlor. The light-green, stucco covered building itself is still shaped like a cylindrically, wrapped burrito with twisted up ends.

Charlie's Beauty Salon is a building converted from a former tamale parlor. The building is rounded like a burrito wrap and has a wrapper twist at each end of the building, like a twisty closure of the burrito's wrapper.
Zippy laments how things change from being a walk-up tamale parlor in the 1920's to a beauty salon today. Zippy goes in and asks for a wet cut, color retouch and a blow dry, along with a restyle and a foil wrap. Oh, and throw in 3 chicken, 2 pork and 1 blue corn, referring to the tamales of olden day.
