This is the first of two Markers at the Pend Oreille County Courthouse in Newport, WA. This one, a benchmark, is at the southeast corner of the building on a concrete post about 2 feet tall.

This BM and pedestal is in the gravelled slope to the south of the sidewalk leading to the entrance toward the rear of the east side of the building. The courthouse is on 4th Street at Scott Avenue.
