You can see a First Nations person who were the first inhabitants of North America. You also see a great caribou, a beautiful animal hunted for its meat and skin and especially for hunting board it provides. And in the top left, you see the boat "La chasse-Gallery": This story goes back to the French legend of a noble and rich man who loved to hunt. He loved hunting, one day, he decided not to go to Mass on Saturday. His punishment was to be condemned to wander in the sky, chased by galloping horses and wolves howling. French colonists who settled in Canada have mixed this legend to one of Amerindian myths about a flying canoe.
Vous pouvez voir une personne des Premières nations qui furent les premiers habitants de l'Amérique du nord. Vous voyez aussi un superbe caribou, un bel animal chassé pour sa viande et sa peau et surtout pour le tableau de chasse qu'il procure. Et en haut à gauche, vous voyez la canot de "La chasse-Galerie":Cette histoire remonte à la légende française d'un homme noble et riche qui aimait chasser. Il aimait tellement chasser, qu'un jour, il décida de ne pas aller à la messe du samedi. Sa punition fût d'être condamné à errer dans le ciel, pourchassé par des chevaux galopants et des loups hurlants. Des colons français venus s'installer au Canada ont mélangé cette légende à l'un des mythes amérindiens à propos d'un canoë volant.
