The Buffalo 2000 was a design created by the Alberta Wheat Pool using precast concrete. Somewhat of an experiment in design and materials by the Wheat Pool, only three of this type were built in the early 1980s, this one in 1982. These elevators were capable of holding something well over 100,000 bushels of grain. The other two were built in Boyle and Foremost, Alberta.
This elevator is now owned by the Canada Malting Company.
