This visitor centre is a replacement for the old one in downtown Duncan (WMHXND). The design is inspired by a barn located in the Cowichan Valley. It was completed in December 2013 and the offices of the Duncan Cowichan Chamber of Commerce moved in at that time. It didn't open to the public until an open house on February 1, 2014, followed later by the grand opening on February 7, 2014. It has a number of themed interpretive displays, iPads and computers available for public use, free wifi, washrooms, gifts, and local tourism information.
