The Heritage Rose Garden is unique as it is the only public garden devoted solely to roses in Western Australia. It contains an important collection of 300 heritage roses, many of which are rare, including one that dates back to 3000BC from China,and over 600 rose bushes was opened on November 4th 1984 by Sir Charles Court former Premier of Western Australia (1974 - 1982).He received the OBE for his service in the Bougainville campaign in 1945.
The memorial section within the rose garden was created in 1995 as a tribute to soldiers that risked and lost their lives fighting for their country.
The Rose Garden is part of the Pinjarra historical precinct
