Projecto do Engenheiro Alfredo Soares, Construido entre 1878 e 1882. Conjunto de aparato construído na cerca de solar dos Camaridos (Melo Alvim) e à custa do demnolido Convento de S. Teotónio (Crúzios), apresenta-se com elevado pé direito a servir uma arquitectura hierarquizada, com um corpo central de dois andares ladeado por dois "alpendres". Conjuga os materiais tradicionais - madeira, granito regional e azulejos - com o ferro vulgarizado pelo industrialismo fontista, com que se estruturou o amplo vão das gares e os alpendres virados à cidade.

This train station is the station of the city of Viana do Castelo and was a project of the Engineer Alfredo Soares and built between 1878 and 1882.
Infrastructure is a member of the Line of Minho. In 2010, consisted of three routes, two of 275 meters, and the rest, with 366 meters long, the platforms are all 40 cm high and 223 meters long.
