The south facing vertical sundial on the south east corner of the Hotel Biokovo is engraved on a square piece of Brac marble.

On the waterfront of Makarska there are two sundials on adjoining south facing buildings,the Hotel Biokovo on the east. a bank at the west. Both sundials are vertical declining perhaps 3° east of south. The hour numbers have been effaced on the east dial on the hotel. 10 hour lines are engraved radiating from a sun at the base of the gnomon. The gnomon is on the meridian at about the right angle for the latitude. The sundial seems to be correctly designed for the slight declination east.
