On B6014 road from Mansfield, marked by plaque on the roadside wall.
Grade 11 listed building.
The pinfold has 2ft thick walls of roughly dressed limestone with capping stones. The enclosure is built into a steep bank which forms part of the rear wall.
There is a 6ft opening with no gate. There is a metal gate leading to steps from the road, however this is not original as it would be impossible for cattle. Probably modified during road widening and levelling.
The interior and access steps are much overgrown with weeds.
Beware of stinging nettles!
There is a stream at the bottom of the hill which may have supplied water.
Restored in 1978, plaque on roadside wall.
Approximate dimensions: Irregular rectangle approximately 30ft by 24ft
Condition: Well preserved or restored
Marked by sign?: yes
Construction Material: Stone
