This marker commemorates the replanting of three palm trees from Govenor Zulick's estate. They originally sat 100 yards west on Warner Rd.

The plaque is mounted on a granite boulder and commemorates the relocation of three nearby palms to the current site. The palms were originally on the estate of territorial Governor c. Meyer Zulick located 100 yards to the west. He was appointed governor in 1885 and was in jail in Mexico at the time.

The plaque reads:
Historical Palms
Planted on the Gilbert AZ. property of Territorial Governor Zulick circa 1890.
Moved to this site Aug. 22. 1998 from the original location 100 yards to the west on Warner Road.
Gilbert Historical Society.
